Our community is growing!

IURC aims to become a Global Network of reference for urban & regional innovation. Within IURC, the cooperation will be organized in two components: city-to-city cooperation in the field of sustainable urban development and region-to-region cooperation in the field of innovation.

Thematic networks are the entry point to the IURC. They consist of Groups (?clusters?) of EU- and non-EU cities or regions cooperating in a specific theme en online activities and relevant onsite events. The networks and clusters are open for all IURC countries, emphasizing the global approach of the IURC network. Thematic clustering facilitates the creation of concrete, theme-oriented synergies (cross-fertilisation) among specialists from EU and non-EU cities/regions, adding global value.
