    ¿Tienes una mente curiosa que está lista para ser desafiada e inspirada? ¿Le gustaría compartir sus ideas sobre los proyectos de cooperación internacional en los que está trabajando su ciudad, agencia o región? El Programa Internacional de Cooperación Urbana y RegionalEl taller de la Semana de las Regiones de la UE puede ser el evento para usted.

    Las regiones y ciudades participan en diversas actividades de cooperación local, nacional e internacional. Esta cooperación les permite aprender y utilizar soluciones innovadoras para retos comunes en la transición postindustrial. Específicamente, la cooperación internacional da una perspectiva diferente al intercambio de experiencias, desarrollo de capacidades y amplificación; redes globales que pueden fomentar mentes curiosas, ideas creativas y soluciones.

  • Transformación del espacio público urbano: Abordar el cambio climático, la accesibilidad y la inclusión social

    Entre los efectos más problemáticos que el cambio climático impone a los planificadores urbanos se encuentran los desafíos de crear y reutilizar espacios públicos que mitiguen las islas de calor urbano y mitiguen las amenazas de eventos de lluvia intensa e inundaciones, al tiempo que impactan positivamente a las comunidades.

     

    En esta sesión, aprenderemos de tres proyectos diferentes.

     

    – El Plan de visión de Moakley Park, presentada por el Ciudad de Boston, transforma uno de sus espacios abiertos frente al mar más grandes de una instalación recreativa de un solo uso en un parque comunitario resiliente y multifuncional. El proyecto incluye infraestructura costera resiliente, estrategias innovadoras de gestión de aguas pluviales y plantación de biodiversidad.

    – El Avinguda del Vallès en el Área metropolitana de Barcelona; un plan de acción integrado que fomente el transporte público y la movilidad activa, reduzca las externalidades y la segregación social y desbloquee oportunidades para la regeneración urbana.

    – Ciudad de Cristal en Condado de Arlington. La recientemente desarrollada sede de Amazon tiene un efecto dominó de reurbanización a través de un nuevo plan que elimina los límites duros entre los negocios y la comunidad circundante, entre las estructuras construidas y la naturaleza.

     

    Los expertos de cada proyecto responderán preguntas y discutirán cómo estas soluciones se pueden replicar en su ciudad.

  • Evento anual de IURC NA & LA en Bruselas 2023

    IURC North America (NA) y Latin America (LA) han organizado un evento en combinación con el evento anual IURC Global que tendrá lugar en Bruselas del 23 al 24 de octubre de 2023. Las ciudades, áreas metropolitanas y regiones que participan en las áreas geográficas de IURC NA y LA presentarán los aspectos más destacados de su participación en el programa, las lecciones aprendidas y las aspiraciones para el futuro de su cooperación. Además, los representantes tendrán la oportunidad de establecer redes e intercambiar ideas sobre desafíos similares en el desarrollo urbano sostenible.

    La Cooperación Urbana y Regional Internacional (IURC) será la sede de su Evento Final el 24 de octubre de 2023. A medida que se reúnen participantes de todo el mundo, el evento promete un rico discurso sobre el desarrollo urbano y regional.

     

    La sede del Comité de las Regiones contará con la opinión de altos funcionarios de la Comisión Europea. Los debates centrales del día girarán en torno a temas fundamentales: Ecological & Energy Transition, Urban & Regional Renewal, and Innovation Ecosystems & Digital Transition (en inglés). Las sesiones mostrarán estudios de casos cooperativos globales, destacando las soluciones técnicas y su impacto político.

     

    Enriqueciendo aún más el diálogo, ONU-Hábitat discutirá la Nueva Agenda Urbana, y los responsables de la toma de decisiones de varias ciudades y regiones debatirán los desafíos geográficos y las expectativas. El acto también destacará futuras oportunidades de colaboración, como la Iniciativa Urbana Europea y el Programa Horizonte Europa.

     

    Para concluir con las observaciones del Parlamento Europeo y de la Comisión Europea, los asistentes podrán disfrutar de un interesante almuerzo de networking. ¡Únase a nosotros para un día que defiende la colaboración global en el progreso urbano y regional!
