2026-06-14 - 2026-06-16 All dayThe IURC Asia and Australasia programme is pleased to announce its upcoming Thematic Regional Workshop at the World Cities Summit, taking place in Singapore from 14–16 June 2026.
Held alongside one of the world’s leading events for urban innovation and policy dialogue, this high-level workshop will convene city representatives, regional authorities, and international experts to exchange best practices and strengthen interregional cooperation. The IURC regional workshop is a follow-up to the IURC global event held at the Barcelona Smart Cities Expo World Congress in November 2025. It will consolidate selected Communities of Practice implemented since December 2025 and support cities and regions in gathering more ideas and inspiration to scale pilot project activities stipulated in their UCAPs and RCAPs.
This time, the World Cities Summit is calling for action: "ACT – Accelerate, Collaborate, and Transform – to create more liveable, resilient, and sustainable cities". The IURC programme will focus on advancing sustainable urban development, fostering green and digital transitions, and building resilient, inclusive cities through peer learning and strategic partnerships. IURC’s participation as a Strategic Partner will assist the EU-AA- cities and regional governments in generating greater visibility of their cooperation at a global level, both at the IURC side event and supporting CLC at the main sessions. The workshop will provide a valuable opportunity for participating cities to deepen collaboration, showcase successful initiatives, and contribute to shaping future joint actions under the IURC framework.
Further details on the agenda and registration will be shared soon.
If you are an IURC pilot city/region interested in attending, don't hesitate to get in touch with your IURC CoP manager or the project team at info@iurc.eu.
