IURC Thematic Networking Event in Barcelona

The 1^st IURC Global Thematic Networking workshop will take place in Barcelona on the occasion of the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) 2025 as this is the world’s biggest and most influential event on urban innovation. The IURC conference will convene about 250 participating cities and regions from Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Australasia. The event will consolidate the IURC Communities of Practice implemented since September 2025 and will support cities and regions to initiating their pilot project activities. The workshop will feature high-level speakers from the EU and relevant non-EU partner countries. IURC will participate as Institutional Partner of SCEWC providing greater visibility to the initiative.
