São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil, with 12 million inhabitants and the centre of a metropolitan area of 21 million inhabitants. The city, that is a pioneer in important economic sectors, generates almost 11% of the national GDP and hosts some of the best universities in the country.

São Paulo is interested in Sustainable Urban Requalification Strategies and Valuation of Historic and Cultural Heritage. It also promotes sustainable urban development, linked to Nature-Based Solutions, circular economy, and sanitation.
